Lake Champlain Chocolates expands factory store to include a hot chocolate, espresso, tea & ice cream cafe - natural wedding favors

Where in the world can you order a chocolate drink by its percentage of cocoa content? Better yet, by its country of origin? Only in Vermont at LCC’s new Factory Store & Café at 750 Pine Street in Burlington. In addition to a hot and cold chocolate drink menu, the café serves espresso drinks, tea, and LCC All Natural Ice Cream. The new café will seat ten, and overlooks the chocolate factory floor.

Hot chocolates range from traditional sweet cocoa to 75% cocoa content Tanzanian. Iced Chocolate comes from Río Caribe, Venezuela and has 60% cocoa content. Hot and iced espresso drinks, including cappuccinos and lattés, originate at the La Minita Estate in Costa Rica, whose beans have a beautiful balance of aroma, body, and perfect acidity. Hot and iced teas range from green to black, from oolong to chai, with several organic selections.

LCC’s All Natural Ice Cream features bold flavors made in small batches from the same pure, all-natural, ultra-premium ingredients used in their award-winning chocolates. Flavors include Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Chip, Belgian Chocolate, Mocha Chip, Chocolate Banana, Maple Pecan, and seasonal feature flavors including Fresh Strawberry. Available in cups, cones, waffle cones, and chocolate waffle cones, with or without nuts. Also available are sundaes, shakes, and hand-packed pints.

Melt in your mouth aromas greet you at the door to the 750 Pine Street Factory Store & Café, where visitors take factory tours that satisfy all their senses while learning the story “from bean to chocolate to you.” Knowledgeable, friendly tour guides explain the history of the company as well as cocoa bean growing, harvesting, fermenting, conching, tempering, and molding.

Free guided factory tours are weekdays on the hour from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the 750 Pine Street, Burlington, Vermont location. The factory store offers chocolates & confections, apparel, gift cards, and deep discounts on slightly imperfect factory seconds.
